DVM, MS, DACVIM
small animal internal medicine

I have been a veterinarian for 17 years, specializing in internal medicine. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for caring for geriatric pets and helping families maximize their pets’ quality of life.

I started this service because I believe euthanasia can be one of the kindest, most loving decisions we make for our companions. When possible, I believe the most peaceful choice—for both pets and their people—is to say goodbye in the privacy and comfort of home.  Home euthanasia offers a gentle alternative: no stressful final car ride, no unfamiliar clinic environment, and no painful return home without them. Instead, your pet remains where they feel safe and loved, surrounded by the people and animals who mean the most to them.  In many cases, other pets in the household seem to understand what has happened and are less likely to search or show signs of confusion afterward.

My Story

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University. Following veterinary school, I completed a small animal rotating internship at Tufts University, and later a combined small animal internal medicine residency and master’s program at Auburn University.  I am board certified in small animal internal medicine.

I have lived in several states—including Maryland, New Jersey, Michigan, Massachusetts, Alabama, Mississippi, and now Virginia—where my family has settled.

At home, I share life with my husband, children, and a lively pack of pets: two dogs, Muddy Waters and Fleetwood Mac, and three cats, B.B. King, Pink Floyd, and Miles Davis Jr. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and pursuing hobbies like painting, gardening, hiking, and camping.
